Less than 72 hours until the Melbourne Marathon! In this video, I finish my final workout—5 × 1km at marathon effort—and share how I’m feeling ahead of my first all-out marathon in around 21 months. After seven months out with a sacral stress fracture, this comeback has meant a lot to me. I talk through the training block, the key sessions that have given me confidence, my race shoes, and my A goal of running sub-2:16 in Melbourne. I also share updates on Valencia Marathon, moving to Portugal with Reem, our upcoming Globe Runners experiences, nutrition coaching, and the launch of Dynafish shoes through Eastbound Running. Can I Run 2:15 at Melbourne Marathon?
I took the three best-performing super shoes from Chinese brands and ranked them against some of the best shoes from the West, including the Puma Fast-R 3, Nike Alphafly 1, Nike Vaporfly 4, and several other leading super shoes from major brands. We weren’t able to test every brand due to the budget we had to work with, but this comparison gives you a good idea of how the top Chinese super shoes stack up against some of the best racing shoes from the West.
